Stainless Steel 304L Grade Channel

Channel steel is a long strip of steel with a groove-shaped cross-section. It is a carbon structural steel for construction and machinery. It is a section steel with a complex cross-section. Channel steel is mainly used in building structure, curtain wall engineering, mechanical equipment and vehicle manufacturing, etc.Made from stainless steel grade 304L also known as 18/8 stainless due its chemical composition which includes approximately 18% chromium and 8% nickel by weight.  Easy to form, weld and fabricate - resistive to corrosion from amongst other things acids naturally contained in food so used widely in the food and drink industry.304L is the most versatile and widely used alloy in the stainless family, a lower carbon variant of grade 304.   The steel can be welded without the resulting issue of carbon precipitation (precipitation of chromium carbide as heat is applied during the welding process which depletes the chromium element of the steel thus reducing its anti-corrosive/oxidation effectiveness).
